At "Us with pets" you will find a large selection of dog bowls and feeders for dogs of all sizes. The bowls are available in stainless steel, plastic or ceramic and come in a wide range of colours, patterns and designs. You can also advantageously supplement the regular food bowl with a fun and challenging activity bowl, where the dog is stimulated while eating.
Tip: Choose a food and water bowl that is the right size for your dog. Dogs don't like their whiskers touching the edges, so choose a bowl with plenty of space. It can also be an advantage that the bowls can withstand a trip in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
Which dog bowl should I choose?
The range of dog bowls is huge, so it may be difficult to see what the best choice actually is. Some bowls are in steel, while others are in melamine. Some must be placed on the floor, while others are on a stand. In addition, there are many different sizes and designs.
First of all, you must pay attention to choosing two bowls; one for food and one for water. Some bowls come in stainless steel, which is practical as it keeps the water temperature down, and the bowls can also be put in the dishwasher. They are typically available with a practical double stand, so that water and food are together and so that the dog cannot push the bowls around.
An alternative to the stainless bowls are melamine bowls, which are suitable for smaller dogs, as they must be placed on the floor. These bowls can also be put in the dishwasher.
If you want bowls for larger dogs to stand on the floor, you can choose ceramic bowls, which are significantly heavier than steel and melamine. The bowls typically cannot withstand machine washing, but are, on the other hand, easy to clean as they are glazed.
As an alternative to the food bowl used on a daily basis, you can choose an activity bowl, which can either be used for regular food for fast-eating dogs or periodically for dogs in need of stimuli (the vast majority of dogs will benefit from this type of stimuli sporadic).
Clean water on the go
When you are on the road with your dog, you should always have clean water with you. If it is a shorter drive, you can of course offer water when you arrive, but it can also be smart to think of alternatives for longer drives. Here you can, for example, choose a splash-free bowl or a water dispenser. The water dispenser is also practical for outdoor use, so you can fill it up with clean water regularly.
For the walk, you can get a very special drinking bottle, where an oblong bowl the size of the can can be folded out. The foldable drinking bottle does not take up more than a normal drinking bottle, but it is significantly easier for the dog to drink from than drinking directly from a bottle that is poured - and it is more water-saving, so that the water can be stretched for the longer trips.
