Can a dog live without a ball?
Yes, they can probably do that, but can you live without a mobile phone - yes, you probably can too, but it won't be much fun. One could imagine that this is how dogs feel. For a ball as a dog toy, is close to a "Need-to-have" as most dogs love to run after a ball and that means exercise - important exercise. Which will mean your dog stays in better shape.
But there are many different balls and dogs tend to be really happy with a certain type of ball. Maybe it fits better in the mouth, jumps in a funny way or something else that means it's just the ball that your dog loves to play with.
A large selection of balls for dogs
For the same reason, you will find here a large selection of different balls, common to them is that they are made for dogs and for play - not saying they can withstand everything, but under "Balls for dogs" you will find several that can withstand even a lot fierce dogs.
Keep a close eye on the dog when it plays with dog toys
Yes, it is really important to ALWAYS keep a close eye on your dog when he is playing with his dog toys. Because accidents can and do happen, broken dog toys, whether they are balls or teddy bears, should be replaced with new ones so that it does not swallow pieces from dog toys. Because although it is made for dogs, it is not good for it to swallow it. It can get stuck or otherwise injure or cause discomfort to your dog.
So always remember to throw out broken dog toys.
Throwing arm, can give your ball extra life ;-)
Our dogs run fast and far, so it's not always possible for one's arm to keep up, but fortunately there are quite a few different throwing arms made that allow you to throw a ball REALLY far, without problems - then dogs really have to run to retrieve the ball and again, it's good exercise and fun for your dog, both physically and mentally.
